According to a statement from the Myanmar Fire Services Department, a passenger bus from Yangon Bus Service (YBS) caught fire near the Padamyar bus stop on No.3 Road in Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region, on the afternoon of November 23.

Two fire engines from Mingaladon Township fire station, two fire engines and a water bowser from Pale Auxiliary fire force were dispatched to put out the fire on November 23 at around 12:20 p.m.

At 12:25 p.m., the fire was put out. After receiving a call for assistance, the Pale Auxiliary fire department dispatched two fire engines, a water bowser, an ambulance, and 40 fire fighters to the area. There were no injuries among the passengers. Htin Lin Aung, the leader of the Pale Auxiliary fire force, tweeted on his social media page that two fire engines from Mingaladon Township fire station also assisted in putting out the fire.
